About the International Economics Olympiad

The International Economics Olympiad (IEO), was organized by the International Olympic Academy and established in 2016 by the Institute of Economic Education (INEV). It quickly emerged as one of the Czech Republic’s most prestigious school competitions. Expanding rapidly, it now engages about 97,000 students globally, transcending its national roots to embrace an international audience. Tailored for middle school students and high school students without restriction to the type of secondary education, the Economics Olympiad garners support both nationally and internationally from esteemed entities like the Ministries of Education, Greece Central Banks, Academic Institutions. The International Economics Olympiad has experienced remarkable growth since its inception, soaring from an initial 4,000 participants in 2017 to nearly 100,000 by 2024. 官网:https://economicsolympiad.org

Since 2020, ASEEDER has organized the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) in China and, in 2024, expanded to organize it in Asia. Regional events select top economics students to represent their nations globally. In September 2024, the Chinese representatives won two silver medals at the IEO held in Ancient Olympiad.

The International Olympic Academy (IOA), established in 1961, is the main educational and cultural institution of the International Olympic Committee. It organizes numerous academic activities annually and promotes the Olympic spirit through research and education.
